Get in the healthy holiday spirit with smoothies

With the parties and pastries everywhere you look, it's easy to forget about clean eating during the holiday season. We've got a couple of smoothies to help you stay on track. It's easy to start your day off strong with a smoothie full of nourishing ingredients like spinach, beets, cranberries and apples. And, of course, hydrating yourself with coconut water.

 

1. Holiday Green Machine Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 c organic spinach (don't forget leafy greens are on the dirty dozen list, so opt for organic when you can!)

1/4 c parsley

1/2 c cucumber

1 Tbsp Barlean's Coconut Oil

2 Tbsp lemon juice

1/2 chopped green apple (we peeled the skin off)

Blend together!

 

2. Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer RED smoothie

Ingredients:

1/2 c beet juice

1/4 c frozen cranberries

1 Tbsp Barlean's Coconut Oil

2 Tbsp lemon juice

1/2 c coconut water

Blend together and enjoy!
