Barlean's Bath Melts

Cold weather causing dry skin? Need a moment to yourself amidst the holiday chaos? On a budget but still need gift ideas? We've got you covered with these Barlean's Bath Melts. They are super easy to make with only two ingredients. All you need are silicone molds (you could even use an ice cube tray), coconut oil and essential oils. The end result are adorable little bath melts. The coconut oil will help nourish your dry skin, the essentials oils help make for the in-house spa experience while taking a bath and these are the cutest little gifts to share with your friends and family over the holidays.

All you need to do is melt the coconut oil on the stove. Once you've removed it from the heat, add in the essential oils. We stuck with peppermint, but other combinations could include wild orange with cinnamon or lavender with lemon. It's up to you! Next, carefully pour the coconut oil into the molds and stick them in the fridge for about 12 hours.

A couple of helpful bath melt tips:

1. Coconut oil can make the tub slippery, so be careful the next time you hop in the shower after using a melt.

2. Coconut oil is a liquid at about 76 degrees F. Keep that in mind as you think about where to store the melts.

3. The amount of essential oil drops that you add will depend on how strong you want the bath melt. For 24 mini bath melts, we added 12 drops of peppermint essential oil.
