Yup, you heard it right. Acai bowls with fish oil. These bowls come packed with antioxidants, Omega-3s, fiber, nutrients and zero fishy flavors. In case you were wondering how we possibly added fish oil and yet avoided the icky fish flavor? Here’s the scoop. We added our Omega Swirls, which are emulsified oils (that equals a smoothie-like texture), and flavored them with real fruit flavors (that equals a seriously delicious fruit-flavored fish oil).
And yes, they taste as good as they look.
3 packs of 3.5 oz Organic Açaí Puree Packets (frozen). We love this brand.
1 cup of almond milk (or juice for a sweeter option)
1 frozen banana
1 ¼ c frozen mangoes
Combine all ingredients in blender and mix up. If you want a thicker consistency, you can add a few ice cubes or more frozen fruit. Makes about 4 small bowls.
What happens next is up to you. We’re big fans of pouring some healthy granola (low in sugar) on top and sprinkling with one of our Barlean’s Super Seed blends for extra fiber and fresh fruit.
