Nothing makes or breaks a salad like the dressing you drizzle on top. It might seem like creating a DIY dressing would take too much time, as well as beg the question, is it really going to taste as great as the store-bought stuff?
Let’s lay those concerns to rest. To start, this DIY recipe took less than ten minutes to make. Not to mention, the creamy garlic dressing is bursting with flavor due to the fresh ingredients and spices. You’ll find it’s hard to go back to store-bought dressing. On top of all that, we used flax oil as a healthy oil base for the dressing. So it doesn’t just taste great, but it’s packed with Omega-3s.
¼ c water
½ tsp crushed garlic
½ c soft tofu
3 Tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp rice vinegar
1 tsp poppy seeds
1 tsp fresh dill
Seasoned salt or salt substitute to taste (optional)
Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor and process to an even consistency.
Makes 1 ½ cups
