I have been on a quest recently to get as many vegetables in my diet as possible. My husband and I have been juicing regularly, making green smoothies, and I even made an adorable salad-in-a-jar. I may be way behind in terms of the foodie trends, but I can say that these are incredibly convenient! However, a salad isn’t complete without some sort of dressing. So, I combined some tasty and healthy ingredients to create Maple Mustard Flax Dressing.
Flaxseed oil is a bountiful source of plant-based omega-3s, and it fits in perfectly with ready-to-eat foods and dressings. Simply replace any oil-based salad dressing with this flavorful flax salad dressing recipe, and you’ll enjoy not only the taste but also the added Omega-3 nutrition! I hope you enjoy it on whatever salad you create!
Below I created a kale salad. From left to right is how I layered mine. Black beans, 2-3 tbsp. of a dressing of your choice, red radishes, carrots, cucumbers, sunflower seeds, purple cabbage, and kale on top!
This keeps beautifully in the refrigerator and it travels easily to work or anywhere where you need food on-the-go!
