An important study assessing more than 21,000 participants for a period of over 11 years found that a daily intake of EPA and DHA of about 240 mgs is associated with a 50% risk reduction for coronary heart disease (CHD). The study is published in the Journal of Nutrition and was done in the Netherlands. Subjects were between the ages of 20 and 65.
